People just talk about the dangers in Pakistan metropolitan cities but no one bothers how common citizen responds to it. The recent riots in Karachi which claimed the life of 40 people in the city and affected hundreds of families showed the another sign of burning situation of Group communal conflicts between MQM and ANP.
But my subject of writing today is not the riots and the issues behind it but how common karachite responds to it which reminds me saying of Mumbaians “Hum kabhi rukte nahin hain”. But Internationally people doesn’t notice how resilient Karachites are? It was surprising to see how people went out to work and their jobs a on very next day. Though it wasn’t the normal crowd but still enough to make your numb.
I believe the reason behind is the fact that we have accepted these kinds of events as part of our life. We don’t speak too much about and doesn’t even give “a thought” to stand up against it. Though it is good to be resilient but it doesn’t mean to loose your stimulus.
